Dorota Glowacka

Associate Professor at the University of Helsinki

Dorota Glowacka is an associate professor at the University of Helsinki, working within the field of computer and information science. She completed her PhD in the Machine Learning group at University College London (UCL). Prior to joining University of Helsinki, she was assistant professor in machine learning in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh. Currently, she is the leader of the Exploratory Search and Personalisation (ESP) research group, which works on the intersection of information retrieval, artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction.The group focuses on all aspects of recommendation, user modelling, personalisation and human-AI interaction. Glowacka has been an important contributor to the Nordic AI Meet and has been a member of its program committee from its very beginning.
